Development of tourism information system and cultural tourism infrastructure in Pagegiai – Sovetsk cross-border region - stage II
The Lithuania-Poland-Russia European Neighbourhood and Partnership Instrument Cross-border Cooperation Programme 2007-2013 aims at promoting economic and social development on both sides of the border between EU countries and Russia, addressing common challengesand problems and promoting people to people cooperation. Under the Programme, 60 joint projects from Lithuanian, Polish and Russian (Kaliningrad Region) border regions are implemented and co-financed by the European Union and Russian

During the Lithuania-Poland-Russia European Neighbourhood and Partnership Instrument Cross-border Cooperation Programme 2007-2013 on 29/ 02/2014 was signed Grand contract of the project ,,Development of tourism information system and cultural tourism infrastructure in Pagegiai – Sovetsk cross-border region - stage II“ No. ILPR.02.01.00-72-040/10-00.
Duration of the project 01/03/2013 – 31/12/2014
Total cost of the project 564.734,22 EUR. Amount requested from European Union - 508.260,8 EUR.
Beneficiaries of the project – Administration of Pagėgiai Municipality and Administration of Sovetsk City district.
The aim of the project – increas local and foreign flow of tourist on both sides of the border between Pagegiai and Sovetsk and improve a quality of tourim information system by creation of the tourism information centres in Pagegiai and Sovetsk.

- Reconstructed and equiped 2 tourism information centres

-Designed and installed 2 museum exibitionrooms in Pagegiai TIC
-Designed and installed 1 museum exibitionroom in Sovetsk TIC
-Purcased 3 interactive computer terminals in Pagegiai and Sovetsk
-Designed 2 web sites of Pagegiai and Sovetsk TIC‘es www.tic.pagegiai.lt www.tic-sovetsk.ru

-Promoted 34 articles of the project activities in regional press and 3 TV reports of Sovetsk City
-Released publications: booklets, brochures, leaflets and prepared 10 joint tourism routes
-Constructed 3 information stands in Sovetsk City
