Exposition

Exhibition
On 24 May 1981, a one-room exposition dedicated to Martynas Jankus, who is called the patriarch of Lithuania Minor, was opened in Bit4nai primary school. The building of M. Jankus printing house that was destroyed during the World War II was reconstructed in Bitėnai in 1998. All the exhibits stored in Bitėnai school were transferred to the reconstructed building. In 2013, two halls were dedicated for the renewed exposition of Pagėgiai Municipal Martynas Jankus Museum: the small hall that used to be the typesetting office, and the big one- the machinery room. The museum has an abundant collection of the old periodicals, books, letters, the 19th-20th century household utensils and tools of the residents of Lithuanian Minor that tell the history of Pagėgiai region and Lithuania Minor.
